This policy explains what data we collect on this site, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short and plain.
Who we are
This site is operated by Le Phuong Tay ("Le Tay Atelier"), a solo software engineer based in Vietnam. For any privacy question, write to contact@taywind.com.
What we collect
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages get read. This stores cookies in your browser (notably _ga and _ga_*) and reports anonymized signals — approximate location from your IP, device and browser type, pages you visit, and how you arrived.
Contact form. When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, optional company name, and the message you write. The submission is delivered to our inbox through Cloudflare Email Routing. We do not store it in our own database beyond what email retention requires.
AI chat assistant. Messages you type into the chat are sent to OpenRouter for AI inference, and the response is streamed back to your browser. We keep short request logs to prevent abuse and improve quality. We do not build a persistent profile of you, and we do not link chat content to identity.
Browser-only tools. Tools like the QR code generator run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them leaves your device.
Why we use it
To reply to your messages, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and to prevent abuse of the AI chat and contact form.
Legal basis
We rely on legitimate interest for operating and improving the site, and on your consent where the law requires it (for example, analytics in jurisdictions that require explicit opt-in).
Third parties
We rely on a small number of third parties to run this site: Google (Google Analytics 4), Cloudflare (hosting on Workers and contact-form delivery via Email Routing), and OpenRouter (AI inference for the chat assistant). Each has its own privacy policy that applies when your data is processed by them.
International transfers
This site runs on Cloudflare's global edge network, and our analytics and AI providers operate internationally. Your data may be processed in countries other than Vietnam. We rely on the providers' standard contractual protections for these transfers.
Retention
Contact messages are kept as long as needed to complete the conversation and for up to 12 months afterwards for business records. Analytics data follows Google's default retention setting (14 months at the time of writing). Chat abuse logs are retained for up to 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email contact@taywind.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Cookies
We set Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to count visits. You can clear them in your browser, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or block third-party cookies entirely. The site continues to function without them.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the effective date at the top of the page changes. Material changes will be highlighted.
